Klever Blockchain Mainnet Update: Where We Are & What Happens Next

Klever Blockchain Mainnet Update: Where We Are & What Happens Next

Klever Blockchain Mainnet Upgrade Overview

  • CertiK Audit 99% Complete → All findings have been addressed in the Klever Blockchain upgrade code.
  • Full Backtests in Progress → Ensuring stability so the mainnet upgrade won’t cause a chain fork.
  • Validator & Exchange Release → A new binary will be shipped with a defined upgrade window and public countdown.
  • KVM Activation at Specific Epoch → Features remain off until activation, meaning no changes for end users before that point.
  • Smart Contracts & New Tools for Builders → Post-activation unlock includes KVM with Rust, Semi-Fungible Tokens (SFTs), Klever Blockchain IDE (VS Code extension), KleverScan “Contracts” section, Ethereum Bridge Smart Contract, and KDA Pool Deposit Smart Contract.

What “CertiK 99% Complete” actually means

CertiK’s review of the Klever Blockchain upgrade is essentially complete, and every recommendation has been implemented. We’re now in the final diligence phase: comprehensive backtests to confirm the new Blockchain code plays perfectly with what’s already live on Klever. Safety first—no surprises for users or partners.

Why Backtests Are Critical Before Activation

Before mainnet activation, we must be certain the new code doesn’t regress live features (balances, staking, fees, consensus, KDA behavior, etc.). This diligence step protects everyone: users, builders, validators, and partners.

Decentralization and Validator Governance

Klever runs as a Foundation/DAO with 114+ independent validators securing the network. Our role is to build, test, and document; the community runs the chain. Upgrades only go live when this diverse set of operators installs the new binaries, validates them, and keeps the network in consensus.

To every validator, delegator, and community builder: thank you. You are the reason Klever stays resilient, neutral, and truly decentralized!

From code to the network: the handoff

Once backtests are green:

  1. We’ll publish the new Klever Blockchain binary to validators and exchanges.
  2. There will be a clear upgrade window and a public countdown.
  3. New features activate at epoch X (to be announced)

Until that epoch, the network runs exactly as it does today.

What Builders Unlock with This Update (day one)

Once the Klever Blockchain update is live, developers and projects can immediately leverage:

  • Smart Contracts on Klever (KVM with Rust)
  • SFT (Semi-Fungible Tokens)
  • Klever Blockchain IDE Extension (Visual Studio Code)
  • Ethereum Bridge Smart Contract
  • KDA Pool Deposit Smart Contract
  • KleverScan “Contracts” area for visibility & verification
  • A more efficient, scalable execution layer for real-world apps

Next Steps

Next up: we’ll publish the detailed timeline and activation epoch. In the meantime, you can dive deeper here:

From the beginning, we’ve said it: the community makes Klever. This upgrade is the next chapter in that story, built with you, and for you. As always, we’re here to help every step of the way 💜
